Born in 1979 in İzmir, she graduated from İzmir Namık Kemal High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics (English) from the Faculty of Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University in 2002. She completed her master's degree in Economic Policy at Kocaeli University Institute of Social Sciences in 2005. In the same year, she was admitted to the PhD Program in Economic Policy at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences and graduated in 2010.
She is a member of the Scientific Committee on Sustainability in Industry at the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the Technical Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change at the Turkish Society of HVAC and Sanitary Engineers (TTMD), and the Editorial Committee of the World Sociology Library. Her academic interests include Development and Growth Economics, Green Economic Transformation, and Sustainable Development. She has managed and taken part in numerous regional and international projects in the field of sustainable development. She founded the Sustainable Development Research and Application Center at Istanbul Medipol University. Her “Women in Power” project, which focuses on gender equality within the framework of sustainable development goals, received a Value Award. In addition, she was honored with the “Inspiring Leader Award” in 2023 for her contributions to sustainable development.
