Campuses:

Yes. Starting from March 16, 2020, as announced by the Presidency, access of our students, parents, and all visitors to our campuses have been restricted for precautionary purposes during the 3-week shutdown period. A new announcement will be made depending on the developments that will take place during 3-week shutdown period. Yes. Physical access to Libraries in all our campuses has been restricted. Our digital library is open for the use of our students and staff with tens of thousands of e-books, e-magazines, and other electronic resources at https://kutuphane.iku.edu.tr/ 
No. The borrowing periods of the books you borrowed from the library are extended until access to the university campuses is allowed and the library is open. You can view your overdue books through "Library Account" (https://kutuphane.iku.edu.tr/tr/kutuphane-hesabi) module on the Catalogue Search page, extend the borrowing period, and request publications are reserved.
Yes. Laboratories in all our campuses have been closed.  Students who have built experimental setups in laboratories and need to take urgent action should contact their department/program to provide information on the subject 

Educational Activities;

Adjustment to the academic calendar, including the midterm, final examination, and project submission dates will be determined and announced in accordance with the decisions to be made by the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Lectures of associate, undergraduate and graduate courses (excluding lab hours, workshops, practical courses or a course's laboratory, workshop, and practical class hours) will be delivered through distance education on CATs (http://cats.iku.edu.tr/) starting from March 23, 2020). Information about the lectures to be held on CATs will be sent to the e-mail addresses of the students enrolled in the course, which are registered in the ORION system, by the lecturers of the course through the CATs.For general announcements and updates on the subject, see our university website (https://www.iku.edu.tr/)
An announcement regarding the practical courses will be made after an adjustment to the academic calendar is made.

Responses to the petitions previously submitted to the Registrar's Office by the student are notified to the student e-mail addresses after the evaluation process is complete. 
Announcement on the course withdrawal dates will be made after an adjustment is made to the academic calendar.

All internship programs at the undergraduate and associate degree levels are suspended during the shutdown period. We will restart your Internship insurance policy following the beginning of the internship period. 
There is no change in contribution fees. Following the developments that will take place in the country during the 3-week shutdown period as announced by the Presidency, the decisions to be taken by the University's executive board will be announced in order to ensure the continuity of the teaching period and to mitigate the financial impact. Dormitories;

Dormitories for male and female students will remain open for our students and dormitory staff. No visitors will be allowed. All students staying in our dormitories are advised not to go out unless necessary.
Our dormitories are open and continue to accommodation services. With regards to the developments to take place during the 3-week shutdown period starting from March 16, 2020 as announced by the Presidency, the decisions made by our university’s executive board will be announced in order to ensure the continuation of the teaching period and to not to cause any inconveniences for the students.

International Students Scholarship Exam (İKÜYÖS 2020);

Yes. International Students Scholarship Exam (İKÜYÖS 2020) has been postponed. The new exam date will be determined later pursuant to the decisions made by YÖK. For updates on the subject, see our university website (https://www.iku.edu.tr/).
Yes. You can still enroll in the courses at our university if you meet the necessary conditions even though you are unable to take the Students Scholarship Exam (İKÜYÖS 2020). 


Questions regarding the Erasmus Exchange Program;

In accordance with the information provided by the National Agency, our students who are still abroad are advised to return to our country as soon as possible. With regard to this matter, there may be new updates following the instructions that may be issued by the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 
Our student, academic and administrative staff member who decides to return back must stay at home for 14 days and return to the university at the end of the 14th day if they do not show any symptoms such as fever and cough following the advice of the Ministry of Health. Upon arrival, it is essential that you do not go out of home and minimize contact with family members. 
When you return to the university and the academic year begins, we will facilitate the processes of course selection, midterms, and provide help on all other issues. 
The amount of grant you receive will be calculated according to the time spent abroad. The amount of the grant you have received will be deducted from the amount calculated On the number of months you spend studying abroad and you will be expected to refund the remaining grant amount to our University. 
If you purchase an economy class ticket for your flight, you will be refunded when you submit the ticket to us. In case of purchasing a round-trip ticket beforehand, if there is a price difference between your flights due to the change of the return flight ticket, you will get a refund for this price difference and in cases where a new one-way flight ticket is purchased, the entire ticket amount will be refunded to you. 
You cannot transfer your rights as a beneficiary to the next year. However, since the mobility is terminated/canceled due to force majeure reasons, students will not get any negative points in the next selection due to the previous participation.


Special Competitions and Events;

Applications are now open for the "Model Your Future" competition. Information will be provided in case the competition is canceled as a result of the developments taking place. 
The training and information meeting of the Fictitious Case competition has been postponed to April for now. Information will be provided in case the competition is canceled as a result of the developments taking place.
Applications are now open for  IKU High School Summer School. Information will be provided in case the competition is canceled as a result of the developments taking place. The ticket refund process has been initiated. Your ticket amount will be automatically refunded to your credit card/debit card by Biletino.com. However, due to the emergency situation we are in, some delay in the processing of refunds may occur. 
Our Call Center (02124984141) is always open to receive external calls from our university. We continue to answer student questions and make student announcements through our social media channels (@ikuedu), e-mail address (kidb@iku.edu.tr) and corporate WhatsApp account (05309184141).
