Dear Students,

First of all, we wish mercy upon those who lost their lives, condolences to their relatives and urgent healing to all our rescued citizens in the earthquake disaster that occurred in our 10 provinces on February 6, 2023, and that tore our hearts out. It is the wish of all of us that this pain we are experiencing as a country will be the last. We would like to share on this occasion that we will always be with our students that are in the disaster area directly affected by the earthquake, and we convey our get well wishes to our country.

Such an extraordinary disaster has also been reflected in many different areas such as education, health, and the economy. In this context, YÖK (Council of Higher Education) shared the distance education decision taken for the spring semester at universities on February 11, 2023, with the public.

After the distance learning experience during the pandemic, we all understood the value of our universities in our lives much better. In addition to professional formation, it is an extremely important requirement to maintain vitality with academic and social opportunities at universities, which are also a life center for intellectual development and psychosocial needs.

Without ignoring the nationwide impact of the earthquake disaster, which changed our order of importance and priority from beginning to end, we, as the university administration, support the rights of all university youth, our scientists and academics to education, research and social life in the physical environment of our universities.

• In this context, we would like to inform you that our university will be open with all its campuses as of Monday, February 20, 2023, the start date of the spring semester in the academic calendar.
• Our students will be able to follow their courses online via our digital platforms. The classroom, amphitheater and laboratories specified in the course programs will also be open for our students to follow the lesson and use with the participation of our academicians.
• Our course selections will be opened via Orion:
• On Friday, 17 February 2023 at 00.01 for our 3rd and 4th grade, Erasmus, Double Major and Minor students,
• On Saturday, 18 February 2023 at 00.01 for our 1st and 2nd grade students.

During this period, when our country is going through a big test, we will provide full support to our students in all our processes.
We hope to leave behind this difficult period together for science, youth and the future of our country …

 The Details of the Course Selection Process are as Follows.
    The entry into the Course Selection systems of our students who are studying in Associate Degree and Undergraduate departments will be carried out gradually by dividing them into 2 separate groups taking into account their Academic Class Information.

-    4th Grade, 3rd Grade, Double Major, Minor, Erasmus Students

On Saturday February 18th, 2023
-    2nd Grade and 1st Grade Students
