    Apply for internship positions at GPoT.

    GPoT provides the opportunity for outstanding university students from various academical backgrounds to benefit from a 1-3 months long internship at the Center. The programme is open to both Turkish as well as international students. However, priority will be given to students enrolled at Istanbul Kültür University (IKU). Applications are being collected throughout the year.

    Mensur Akgun, a professor of international relations at Istanbul Kultur University and director of the Global Political Trends Center think tank, called it legitimate for Turkey to express fears over the YPG near its border.

    “For any country… this would be a serious security concern,” he told The Media Line.

  • GPoT Talks II - January 18, 2019

    Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) organized a meeting on 18 January 2019 regarding Cyprus issue in which TRNC Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Kudret Özersay as guest of honor. This event was held as a roundtable meeting, which was open to a limited number of participants. The addressing speeches of the meeting was made by IKU Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel and the head of Department of International Relations and Head of GPoT Center Prof. Dr. Mensur Akgün.

  • Kartepe Summit, October 26-28, 2018 "Migration, Refugees and Humanity"

    This year, the second Kartepe Summit was held on October 26-28, which hosted by the Republic of Turkey Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. The main theme of the Summit has been specified as “Migration, Refugees, and Humanity”.
