World-renowned pianist and composer Fazıl Say will give the opening concert of his new album tour “The Mad Pomegranate Tree” on May 5, 2026 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. During the concert, he will premiere his composition “A Teacher’s Dreams,” dedicated to the 100th birthday of Fahamettin Akıngüç, Founder of Kültür Educational Institutions and Honorary Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

Having performed annually at IKU for over 20 years, Fazıl Say shared the following about the piece:

“It has always meant a great deal to me that an educational institution places such importance on art, culture, and music. I have long felt deep gratitude toward Fahamettin Akıngüç, the visionary behind all this. For the past couple of years, I had been thinking about dedicating a piece to him. I composed it, and it will be performed at AOSM on May 5. The piece is titled A Teacher’s Dreams.”

Highlighting Akıngüç’s nearly 70 years of contribution to education, Say added: “What he has done for education in Türkiye is deeply significant—not only for the country but also for me personally. I wanted to respond through my music.”

A comprehensive cooperation protocol, which will last for two years, has been signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and the LİBER Culture and Arts Association.

LİBER Culture and Arts Association, which conducts interdisciplinary studies in the field of culture and arts, aims to contribute to the intellectual and cultural development of students by building a bridge between academia and civil society. Within the framework of the protocol, which will be implemented as of the 2025-2026 Academic Year Spring Semester, it was decided to carry out multi-dimensional projects between the university and the association.

Istanbul Kültür University hosted a prestigious international cultural and artistic event marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and the People’s Republic of China.

Organized through the collaboration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Vocational School, with sponsorship from TRİSAD and contributions from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Türkiye, the “Silk Road Fashion Exhibition & Concert” took place on Sunday, April 19 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. The program opened with the participation of Meifen Zhou, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ankara, Prof. Dr. Nebile Korucu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özer, Director of the Vocational School, and members of the Vocational School administration.

The program continued with an impressive concert by the Nanjing University National Orchestra, offering an unforgettable experience for attendees. Following the concert, the “Silk Road Fashion” exhibition, held in the foyer area, showcased interdisciplinary designs created by students from the Program of Fashion Design and the Program of Opticianry, receiving great acclaim.

Interpreting the rich heritage of the Silk Road through a contemporary lens, the event stood out as a powerful reflection of cultural exchange between the two countries.

The ceremony was also attended by Emmy Award-winning director Travis Fox and Michelle Fox, renowned fashion designer Muammer Ketenci, prominent figure in the optical sector Hakan San, and digital content creator Çağatay Gülümser, who joined in celebrating the achievements of our students.

​Organized by the Faculty of Law, a conference titled "The World's First University in Istanbul and Its Contribution to Law" was held on April 15, 2026, at the Bahçelievler campus. Prof. Dr. M. Turgut Öz, Head of our Private Law Department, participated as a speaker and shared his valuable knowledge and views on the development of Roman Law sources and the evolution of legal education in the Eastern Roman Empire. The role of moderator for the event was undertaken by Prof. Dr. M. İlhan Ulusan, Head of our Civil Law Department.

​During the event, the formation of the legal education and curriculum at the institution named "Pandidakterion" that was founded in 425 CE in present-day Istanbul within the borders of the Eastern Roman Empire and characterized as the world's first university, was examined. The contributions of the educational system in this institution, and the world-renowned professors who served there, to the "Corpus Iuris Civilis," the Roman Law codification commissioned by Emperor Justinian I, and its impact on contemporary legal systems and modern legal education were analyzed. The event, which covered an extensive range of topics, attracted great interest and acclaim from students as well as many academics and lawyers.

The “Silk Road Festival & World Art Day Sanataevet Honorary Awards” were held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus, hosted by the Department of Arts and Culture Management of Istanbul Kültür University.

The opening speech of the event was given by our Head of the Department of Arts and Culture Management, Prof. Dr. Reyhan Uludağ. Theatre artist Tamer Levent served as the festival's artistic consultant, while Dilek Türker, Vedat Akdamar, and Özlem Arihan Barlok shared the moderation duties.

In this special event, which brought cultures together through the universal language of art, awards were presented to esteemed figures who have produced works in many fields, from theater and literature to music and visual arts. Participants included Murat Karahan, Ayşe Kökçü, Şahika Tekand, Mine Söğüt, Selçuk Borak, Prof. Dr. Nilgün N. Büyükişleyen, Mümin Candaş, Ali Balkı, and many other artists, academics, and cultural figures.

Serving as a meeting point for the art and culture world, the festival both inspired young people and once again demonstrated the unifying power of art. Hosted by Istanbul Kültür University, this meaningful event was a powerful cultural gathering that emphasized the social value of art.

Organized in collaboration with ATAMER and the Atatürkist Thought Club, the conference titled “The Emergence of National Sovereignty and Its Reflection in the Constitutions of the Period” was held on Tuesday, April 21. The event featured Prof. Dr. Necmi Yüzbaşıoğlu from the Faculty of Law as the speaker, who provided a comprehensive overview of the historical development of the concept of national sovereignty. Drawing significant interest, the conference offered participants both an informative and inspiring academic exchange.

“April 25th DNA Day,” held annually to draw attention to DNA, the fundamental building block of life, and to support the advancements in genetic science, was celebrated at our university this year with events organized by the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.

As part of the event held on April 28, 2026, they created an organization aimed at establishing a central hub within the university with informative materials, handcrafted works, and various refreshments. The works exhibited in the event area reflected the efforts of combining striking perspectives on developments with creativity. With the active transformation of the department, this special day once again demonstrated the amount of official sharing, while adding a colorful and friendly atmosphere to the tournament environment. We thank all the academics who contributed to the preparation of the event.

The "1st Kültür Special Education Meetings" event was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2025, in the Conference Hall and foyer area of ​​the Küçükçekmece Campus, organized by the Special Education Department of Istanbul Kültür University. The event, themed "Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Special Education," featured expert speakers who shared their knowledge and experiences. In the session moderated by Assist. Prof. Fidan Güneş Gürgör Kılıç, Speech and Language Therapist Sena Ürper Özkan, Psychological Counselor Kübra Parım Açıkalın, and Child Development Specialist Hediye Karaarslan Karakaş comprehensively addressed the role of their respective disciplines in special education. Following this, poster presentations by the Department of Special Education students were held in the foyer area. Participants had the opportunity to learn about current studies and exchange ideas through these presentations. The event, which strengthened interdisciplinary interaction and increased professional awareness, concluded with high participation and fruitful discussions.

Organized in collaboration between the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club and İKÜANTS TEKMER, the event titled “InnovateX” was held on Wednesday, April 22 at 10:00 in the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

Speakers included entrepreneur Beşir Kemal Ustaoğlu, İlker Görgün from Borusan Logistics, and Aydın Özbakır, Co-Founder of ID Coaching Agency, who shared valuable insights on sustainable success, growth strategies, and leadership.

The documentary “Bocuk: An Ancient Ritual,” directed by Research Assistant Buğra Mert Alkayalar from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema and supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has been selected as a finalist in the National Short Documentary Film Competition at the 27th International Golden Safran Documentary Film Festival.

The festival will take place in Safranbolu, Karabük, between June 10–14, 2026, bringing together national and international documentaries in the district’s historic setting.

Blending documentary and dramatization, the film traces the Balkan-Turkish Bocuk tradition—dating back to the Middle Ages—in the Thrace region. It documents the contemporary expressions of this winter ritual and the oral narratives preserved within the village where it is still celebrated.

The documentary’s assistant director is our graduate Hakan Karan, cinematography is by our student Emre Arslan, and camera assistants are our students Kutay Kümbetli and Berkay Kurt.

The third game session of the "Game On" event, organized by the Department of Digital Game Design, titled "Cardora Game: QA Testing," took place on Wednesday, April 22, from 13.00 to 18.00 in the Digital Game Design Game Room on the 1st floor of the Ataköy building at the Bakırköy Campus. The session, featuring teams from Nightbadgers and Media Zone, introduced participants to the medieval-themed card game Cardora. Students from various departments of the school showed great interest in the event, and players had the opportunity to experience both the multiplayer and single-player roguelite modes.

Cardora, built on a poker-based system and relying on synergy building through combinations formed at the end of a match, stood out with its dynamic structure and strategic depth. Participants experimented with different tactics throughout the game and provided feedback, while the development team had the opportunity to observe player experience and gather valuable data for game improvement. The event offered a productive experience, both in terms of contributing to the QA testing process and enabling direct interaction between players and developers.

In collaboration with the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, a discussion titled "Colors IV" was held on Tuesday, April 28, at 13.00 in the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building on the Bakırköy Campus. Artist Bedri Baykam participated as a speaker, emphasizing that color is not only an aesthetic preference but also a powerful narrative tool, and discussing its role in spatial design.

The "AI Summit" event was organized by the New Media and Communication Club on April 14, 2026, at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus. At the summit, where the transformations created by artificial intelligence in the fields of new media, particularly in digital marketing, e-commerce, and design were discussed, Gökhan Çam, Cüneyt Bakioğlu, and Ata Güneş shared their industry experiences and current developments with the participants. Enriched with inspiring speeches and real-world examples, the event provided students with new perspectives and the opportunity to closely witness AI-focused developments.

The Department of International Trade and Finance at Istanbul Kültür University hosted an “Alumni Panel” on Tuesday, April 21 at the Küçükçekmece Campus Conference Hall.

The panel featured Merve Türkmen, Valedictorian of 2024 and Assistant E-Commerce Specialist for Luxury Fashion Brands at Doğuş Hospitality & Retail, and Mustafa Koçyiğit, Valedictorian of 2025 and International Sales Manager and Project Sales Specialist at Reed Tüyap Exhibitions Inc. and Reed Exhibitions Global (Türkiye).

Our alumni shared their career journeys, industry experiences, and the key skills they gained while transitioning from student life to professional careers. The panel, which served as a source of inspiration for students, attracted strong interest thanks to the speakers’ sincere and insightful contributions.

The works of our Head of the Department of Art and Culture Management, Prof. Dr. Reyhan Uludağ, began to be exhibited in the “Open 21 Spaces” exhibition, which opened on April 19, 2026, at Camhane Art Gallery in Beyoğlu. Emerging as a contemporary expression of historical and conceptual continuity, the exhibition treats each artist's practice on an equal footing, while emphasizing the juxtaposition of individual works to form a collective structure. This special exhibition, where the layers, transformations, and encounters accumulated during Camhane's 21-year journey intersect in a single moment, bringing together 21 artists from different disciplines, can be visited until May 19, 2026.

The “BAMS 2026: Gut Health and Systemic Effects: Multidisciplinary Approach Symposium” was held by the Healthy Nutrition Club on April 15, 2026, at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus. In the event, which was followed with great interest by approximately 250 participants, experts such as Dilay Yavuz, Orçun Kürüm, Berna Göbeloğlu, Karanfil Özdemir, and Nazlınur Aydın addressed the effects of gut health on all body systems from the perspectives of dietitians and physiotherapists. Promoting a holistic health approach, the symposium provided participants with a valuable vision in the light of current scientific information.

The Vocational School of Justice and the Program of Court Office Services at Istanbul Kültür University organized a professional field visit to the Bakırköy Courthouse on Friday, April 24, 2026, under the coordination of Asst. Prof. İdris Güzel, Head of the Department of Law.

During the visit, students observed the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Applications and front office operations, and attended hearings at both the Heavy Penal Court and the Criminal Court of First Instance. A fraud case involving online scams, heard at the Heavy Penal Court, drew particular attention from students.

Between sessions, the Presiding Judge provided detailed insights into the functioning of the courts and answered students’ questions. Following a hearing on violence against women at the Bakırköy 21st Criminal Court of First Instance, Judge Funda Odabaşı Kılınç offered an in-depth evaluation of the legal process. Public Prosecutor Sinan Korkut also provided valuable information about the workings of the prosecution office.

Throughout the visit, Administrative Affairs Director Faruk Ergün and Çağlayan Kader accompanied the students. Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor Muhammed Kurt welcomed the group, offering insights into the roles and responsibilities of the prosecutor’s office and sharing professional advice.

The New Media and Communication Club opened the doors to the world of branding with the “How to Build a Brand?” event held on April 16, 2026, at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus. Brand Consultant İlayda Bilek, who participated as a speaker in the interview held in an interactive atmosphere, shared the strategic journey from the foundations of the branding process to creating a strong identity, as well as the current dynamics of the sector.

The Business Club organized a talk featuring Esra Oksay on April 16, 2026 at the multi-purpose hall on the 3rd floor of the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

The event, which attracted strong student interest, focused on the role and importance of women’s entrepreneurship in the business world, as well as union activities supporting women’s rights in the workplace. Drawing on her own experiences, Oksay shared valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs.

Aiming to raise awareness about gender equality, the talk provided an inspiring and informative experience for participants.

The event titled “Women’s Solidarity Against Injustice and Inequality” was organized by the Women’s Solidarity Club on April 22, 2026, at INNSide in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus. In the event, where Lawyer Büşra Çakır took part as a speaker, the topics of gender equality, injustice, and inequality were discussed, and the importance of women’s solidarity was emphasized. With the “Break the Taboos” workshop organized as part of the program, participants had the opportunity to question stereotypes together and express their thoughts freely.

The Department of Educational Sciences held a seminar titled "Play-Based Approaches in Working with Children" on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with Expert Psychological Counselor Kübra Parım Açıkalın as the speaker.

Dr. Alptekin Erdağ participated as a speaker in the seminar held on Tuesday, April 28, within the scope of the “IE0511-Case Studies in Managerial Finance” course given in the Department of Industrial Engineering.

In collaboration with the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and the Chamber of Interior Architects, a seminar was organized to support students' professional development, enable them to interact directly with the sector, and contribute to their knowledge of current approaches in the field of interior architecture. The event, featuring Interior Architect Ruken Güngör as the speaker, took place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 14.30 in INNSide, located in the Ataköy building on the Bakırköy Campus.

The jigsaw puzzle activity, organized by the Dean of Students Office at the INNSide area in the Ataköy building of Istanbul Kültür University's Bakırköy Campus, created a space where students could take a pleasant break during the day, socialize, and enjoy the pleasure of creating together. This activity, in which students from different departments came together and contributed, both supported attention and focus and increased interaction within the campus, offering a shared experience.

In collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Department of Industrial Engineering, a seminar titled “Designing the Future with Solid Edge: First Steps into the Siemens World” was held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10.00 in the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building on the Bakırköy Campus. Expert speakers Ahmet Kaya, Öykün Sönmez, and Samet Barış delivered an inspiring session on engineering design processes, digital transformation, and career opportunities.

Pınar Turan participated as a speaker in the seminar held on Wednesday, April 29, within the scope of the “IE0414-Lean Management Principles and Practice” course given in the Department of Industrial Engineering.

The Molecular Biology and Genetics Club organized the “5th Science-You” event, consisting of scientific sessions, to enable students to evaluate current scientific developments from different research fields. Held on Friday, April 10, 2026, the event featured Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Koca Çaydaşı, Assistant. Prof. Emine Kazanç, Res. Assist. Remzi Okan Akar, and our Club Advisor Res. Assist. Enes Bal, as speakers. The program included presentations on cell division, stress and aging mechanisms, innovative approaches used in drug discovery, next-generation applications in genetic therapies, and spatial multi-omics approaches and organoid models in personalized cancer treatments. The event, which attracted significant student interest, provided a scientific sharing environment regarding current applications in various research fields and gave participants important information about interdisciplinary work areas.

The Community Volunteers Club will be organizing a "TOG Key Training" aimed at transforming participants into active volunteers who generate ideas and take responsibility in an interactive learning environment where they experience real project processes. The training, given by Mert Akkaş from the Community Volunteers Foundation, will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 10.00 to 17.30 in the multipurpose hall on the first floor of the Ataköy building at the Bakırköy Campus.

The Dean of Students Office - Kültür Point will be organizing a "Business English" training session on Monday, May 4, via the CATS platform, to support our students and alumni in their career planning processes.

Hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, an international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “From Hands-On to Minds-On: Concretization and Metacognition in Education” will be organized within the scope of the Erasmus+ program. In cooperation with 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia, UCLL Leuven University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Białystok, the program will be held between May 4–8, 2026, at the Erdal İnönü Seminar Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

Within the scope of the "CE8301" course offered by the Department of Civil Engineering, a technical field trip to the İkitelli Water Treatment Plant will be organized on Monday, May 4, at 10.00.

A conference will be organized by the Literature Club to provide students with information about the history of Turkism and its pioneering figures. The Program of Child Development will organize an event titled "The Hundred Languages of Children: Recyclable Workshop Designs in the Reggio Emilia Approach" to provide students with different perspectives that will support their field experience. The Faculty of Science and Letters will host the “Student Achievement Awards Ceremony” on Monday, May 4 at 13:00 in the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus. During the event, certificates will be presented to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academic work, competitions, and activities across sports, social, cultural, artistic, scientific, and technological fields.

As part of a joint project between the Faculty of Law and Augsburg University, the event titled “Artificial Intelligence and Legal Methods: The Role of AI in Legal Analysis and Practice” will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 13:30 in the CEHAMER Twin Hall on the 6th floor of the Bahçelievler Campus. The speaker will be Prof. Dr. Prof. h.c. Thomas M.J. Möllers, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law at Augsburg University.

The IKU Turkish Classical Music Choir will perform a concert titled “Here Comes the Beautiful Summer Again” on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 20:00 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

Organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, this seminar aims to raise awareness among students about photovoltaic systems. Dr. Çağatay Varış, Business Development and Investments Manager at Rhofa Energy, will be the speaker. The Department of Political Science and International Relations will organize the “Political Science and International Relations Research Conference” to encourage students to engage in academic research. Organized by the Department of Economics, the event titled “Digital Banking” will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 at the Küçükçekmece Campus Conference Hall. Eda Ayyıldız, Digital Marketing Department Manager at Halkbank, will be the speaker.

Moderated by Asst. Prof. Nazlı Şahanoğulları, the event will explore the transformation of digital banking in recent years, its impact on traditional banking structures, career opportunities in digital banking for students, and the key competencies required in this field.

The seminar titled “Psychiatric Drugs: Between Science, Myths, and Fears,” featuring Prof. Dr. Onur Durmaz from our Department of Psychology as the speaker, will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, between 12.30–13.30 at the Design Factory in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

A seminar will be organized by the Department of Public Relations and Advertising to inform students about Occupational Health and Safety. In cooperation with UZEMER and the Dean of Students Office, "Python Programming Training" will be organized for students who are preparing for TEKNOFEST competitions or are interested in the subject. A seminar themed "Coping with the Uncertainty Created by War" will be organized by the Dean of Students Office – Kültür Point, specifically for our international students, primarily those who are victims of war. In cooperation with the New Media and Communication Club and the Department of New Media and Communication, the "Alumni Panel-6" event will be organized for our graduates to share their experiences with our students. The finalists and event program for the 7th SineKültür Interuniversity Short Film Festival, organized this year by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, have been announced. Following the preliminary jury evaluation, a total of 12 films—across documentary and fiction categories—have been selected as finalists. The festival will take place between May 6–8, 2026 at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

The festival program will kick off on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 with the “Film Production Workshop,” led by producer and screenwriter Orhan Koçak (SETEM), from 10:00 to 12:00. On the same day, between 14:00 and 16:00, the “Blackmagic Camera App Workshop” will be conducted by Blackmagic Design Camera Specialist Oğulcan Ekiz (Mediacast Türkiye).

Screenings of the finalist films will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Documentary finalists will be shown between 10:30–12:30, followed by fiction finalists between 13:30–15:30.

The festival will conclude on Friday, May 8, 2026 with an awards ceremony held between 14:00–15:00 at the Prof. Dr. Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall, following a cocktail reception from 13:00 to 13:45. During the ceremony, the films selected for awards by the jury will be announced.

In cooperation with the New Media and Communication Club and the Department of New Media and Communication, a talk titled "From Idea to Venture: Paul Kenzie" will be held. The session will cover the emergence process of a brand from the founder's perspective, sharing the dynamics of strategy, decision-making, and growth. The event, where Yusuf Demir, Founder of Paul Kenzie & Hype of Steps, will be the speaker, will take place on Wednesday, May 6, at 11.00 in classroom 5C 8-10 of the Ataköy building at the Bakırköy Campus.

The "Dev-Meets 5" event will be organized by the Department of Digital Game Design to provide students with information about being an indie game studio in Türkiye. The event, featuring Game Designer Can Oral from Cultic Games as the speaker, will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 12.00 in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

A technical field trip will be organized by the Department of Communication and Design on Wednesday, May 6, at 12.00 for students to visit current exhibitions at Arter with a guide.

Students of the Program of Tourism and Hotel Management will participate in the "Career Days" event at Maslak Hilton Istanbul on Wednesday, May 6, between 14.00 and 17.00.

The Psychology Club will organize a panel titled "Being a Psychologist at the Courthouse" to convey the roles, ethical responsibilities, and duties of psychologists working in courthouses. The event, featuring Forensic Psychologist Beste Bircan Ekici, Clinical Psychologist Alparslan Günay, and Oğuzhan Eyilik, Director of Istanbul Courthouse Forensic Support and Victim Services, will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 14.00 in the 1st-floor multi-purpose hall of the Ataköy building at the Bakırköy Campus.

The Logistics Club will be organizing a talk titled "Logistics and Customs: All Processes from Field to Desk" to impart fundamental knowledge and practical applications related to customs and logistics processes to students. The event, featuring Süleyman Sanlı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Narin Customs Consultancy Ltd. Co., will take place on Wednesday, May 6, at 14.00 in classroom 1A01 of the İncirli building at the Bakırköy Campus.

The IKU Orchestra will give a concert at the Bahçelievler Campus on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 14.00 to 16.30.

Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (İKÜSAG) will host Deniz Özen's exhibition titled "The Sacredness of Beliefs, Trojan Textures, Weavings". The exhibition, which will open on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 15.00 in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus, consists of original works created by the artist using felt and weaving techniques. The exhibition will be open to visitors until June 5, 2026.

The Dean of Students Office Kültür Point will be organizing the "Career Days 2026" event to help students achieve their career goals. The event, which will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 10.00 to 17.00 in the Ataköy building on the Bakırköy Campus, will provide students with the opportunity to network with leading companies in their fields and explore job opportunities.

The Program of Fashion Design will be organizing a conference titled "Green Transformation in Textiles" to enable students to gain a deeper understanding of the concept of sustainability within the context of the textile industry. The event, featuring Kemal Say, General Manager of Fibertex Nonwovens as a speaker, will take place on Thursday, May 7, at 10.00 in classroom 1A01 of the İncirli building on the Bakırköy Campus.

The Department of Communication and Design will be organizing a workshop titled "Character Building" with the aim of creating the fundamental building blocks of a story, from idea to conflict, together with the participants. The event, featuring speaker Bilgi Diren Güneş Hızar, will take place on Thursday, May 7, at 13.00 in classroom AK ZA-3 in the Ataköy building at the Bakırköy Campus.

In collaboration with UZEMER and the Dean of Students Office, an "LLM and NLP Training" will be organized for students preparing for and interested in the TEKNOFEST competitions. The training, given by Computer Engineer Boran Toktay, will take place on Thursday, May 7, from 14.00 to 18.00 via the CATS platform.

The fourth guest speaker at the "Clinical Psychology Development Seminars" organized by the Department of Psychology will be Psychiatry Specialist Dr. Aylin Evecen Karaytuğ, who will give a talk titled "Psychiatric Emergencies". The event will be held online via Google Meet on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 21.00.

Famous singer Can Bonomo will meet with students of Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ). The concert, organized by the Dean of Students Office - Kültür Point to celebrate the joy of spring together, will take place on Friday, May 8, at 20.00 in the back garden of the Ataköy building on the Bakırköy Campus.
