Is there a memory that you cannot forget in the Kültür part of your life? I have many memories at IKU, which I joined 16 years ago. However, the most valuable one for me is the unconditional support of every member of the Kültür family during the sudden and huge loss I experienced at the end of 2013. If it weren't for the support of my professors and friends in my working life; I do not know how successful I could be in continuing my academic life, which I gradually progressed by delaying this process and its continuation, and adapting to normal life. The world has been going through a difficult process. How did you go through the pandemic process? What has this process changed in your life? This difficult process that all people in the world go through has taught us how easy and valuable our previous normal life was, which we often complained about on some issues. In addition to the effects of the pandemic on our physical health and social life, its effects on mental health are undeniable. Fortunately, no one in our family caught any illnesses during this period. However, I felt the impact of the pandemic in the triangle of home, work and children during the distance working period. My son Serdar Ege’s starting first grade this year, unfortunately, coincided with distance education during the pandemic period. Having to do many things at the same time during the distance education of children and working remotely at home, and my perfectionist blood trying to keep up with everything, made me psychologically very weary. I cannot deny the support of my husband, who works as an academic at the same institution, in managing the process, but from time to time I thought frankly, I wish I had a few clones to help me manage this process. Most of the time I felt like the robots used in the industrialization process that the Japanese developed for the care of the elderly and called Society 5.0. During the pandemic period, I think women should have the competencies of "Life in Pandemic 6.0" in order to be able to manage the process while working from home. 1.0: Physical Health, 2.0: Home Management, 3.0: Child Care and Education (because in distance education, especially if you have a child having primary education, you have to be a part of the education), 4.0: Remote Working - Business Management ( To support his homework, to prepare a meal, or to support the child who is disconnected and crying while in an online class), 5.0: Mental Health (What can you do in order not to lose yourself in the vortex of not being able to keep up with responsibilities?), 6.0: Personal Development (To stay up-to-date and improve in this process time creation). |
