A cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and Tunç Tesisat Mühendislik ve Mimarlık Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. on Monday, January 16, 2023. Within the scope of the protocol signed by our Rector Prof. Dr. Hanife Öztürk Akkartal, our Department of Civil Engineering Vice President Assist. Prof. Edip Seçkin will develop projects in the field of steel and reinforced concrete structures.

Eti Children's Theater met with children at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center for two sessions, between 12.00 and 14.30 on 26-27 January, with the play "When You Say Happiness", written and directed by Ünsal Sicilli. The play, in which Arda Çoban, Barış Dizer, Çağatay Varol, Gülşah Kağan and Nil Gül were in the cast, in an entertaining and educational way told the values one should have in order to be happy. The play was enjoyed by the children. Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center activities will continue with the Fazıl Say concert on February 9, 2023.

ATAM Robotics and Software Technologies, one of the companies of IKU Technology Transfer Office, has been selected for the EIT Urban Mobility Investment Readiness Accelerator (IRA) program.

The EIT UM Investment Readiness Accelerator (EIT UM IRA) is an accelerator program targeting innovative companies that are in the process of raising funds in urban mobility areas or aiming to do so by the end of 2024.

One of our Department of Radio, Television and Cinema lecturers, Res. Assist. Buğra Mert Alkayalar's short film script named "Station People" won the "Scenario" category of the 18th International Snow Film Festival. In addition, his documentary named "From Korea with Love" came in second in the "Documentary" category. We congratulate him and wish him continued success.

IKU International Relations Unit came together with high school students at İhsan Schools Career Days held on January 18-19, 2023. Elif Dicle Çağlar, one of the experts of IKU International Relations Unit, took part as a speaker on the second day of the Career Conference held within the scope of the event. Professional Engineer Şahabeddin Rifai, one of the lecturers of the Department of Civil Engineering, gave a seminar on engineering.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Project Development Specialist Fatma Ünal has been appointed as a Working Group Member (WG) to the Cost Action Program on "CA21155-Advanced Composites Under High Strain Rates Loading: A Route to Certification-By-Analysis (HISTRATE)". We wish her continued success.

"Kids Academy Europe Member Kindergartens 2nd Training Camp" will be organized in cooperation with the Department of Basic Education and English Kids Academy Europe in order to raise awareness among preschool teachers about the methods used in preschool education, drama, chess and coding. Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall will host the trainings to be given by the experts of the topic, between 10.00-17.00 on 28-29 January.
