The Scientific and Artistic Activities Support Program (BİLSAP) Awards, given by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) to academics who contribute to science, education, society and art with their work, found their owners at the ceremony.

Istanbul Kültür University held an award ceremony for academics who have signed various projects both in Turkey and internationally. In the program hosted in Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in our Ataköy campus on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 118 academicians who worked in 6 different departments in 2021 received their awards; It was presented by our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr Bahar Akıngüç Günver, our Rector Prof Dr Hanife Öztürk Akkartal and our Vice Rector Prof Dr Sinan Alçın. Awarded fields were "Applied Sciences", "Basic Sciences", "Social Sciences", "Health Sciences", "Religion, Culture and Education", and "Architecture and Art".

Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall hosted the award ceremony and colloquium of the "MEKAN2021 National Graduation Projects for Interior Architecture Students", which was organized for the 8th time this year by the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 15.00.

At the ceremony where our Rector Prof. Dr. Hanife Öztürk Akkartal, our Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu and our Head of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Prof. Dr. Gülay Usta made the opening speeches, awards were presented to the winners.

After the award ceremony, in the colloquium moderated by Prof. Dr. Ayhan Usta; Jury members Prof. Dr. Gülay Usta, Prof. Dr. Rana Kutlu, Assoc. Prof. Ervin Garip, Assoc. Prof. Armağan Seçil Melikoğlu Eke and Asst. Prof. Derya Adıgüzel Özbek made statements regarding the evaluation process of the competition. The colloquium, which was held with wide participation, ended after the question-answer session. At the end of the colloquium, an exhibition of award-winning projects was opened.

Faculty members of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences came together at the birthday organization held at the Basın Ekspres campus on Monday, December 13, 2021, with the participation of our Vice-Chancellor & Deputy Dean of FEAS Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın.

A "Reverse Mentoring Panel" was held on the ZOOM platform on Tuesday, December 14, in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) and All Entrepreneurial Business Mentors Association (TUGIM). The opening speeches of the panel, in which TUGİM Mentor & Trainers Sarp Uzer and Hazal Alagöz were guests, were made by AGMER Manager H. Nazan Çağlar and TUGİM Board Chairman Meltem Çora. At the event, it was shared with the participants that new events will be held in partnership with AGMER and TUGİM in the upcoming periods.

As part of the fight against COVID-19; Offices, classrooms, lecture halls, service vehicles, toilets and common areas in all our campuses were disinfected by the Support Services Department on Saturday, December 11, 2021.

The "Meeting with Student Clubs" dinner, traditionally organized by Kültür Point, was hosted by the Alumni Club on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. At the dinner where our Rector Prof. Dr. Hanife Öztürk Akkartal and our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. K. Sinan Alçın met with the student club presidents, and our students talked about the activities and goals of both themselves and their clubs. Our Rector listened to the ideas of our students and stated that all of them are very valuable and that Istanbul Kültür University will always support them in realizing their projects and engaging in effective activities. 

The Department of Economics held a seminar on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Basın Ekspres Campus Conference Hall. Tahsin Aygün, CEO of Marbling Financial Group, who attended the event as a speaker, made a presentation on the historical outlook and future projections of global inflation. The megatrends that may arise in the future in the financial markets were also discussed with the active participation of the participants.

Istanbul Kültür University Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center continues to bring together beautiful events with the people of Kültür and art lovers. Deniz Tekin was the guest of our university at the concert organized by the Fine Arts Application and Research Center (GSUAM) on Thursday, December 16. Tekin, who sang many songs with his signature in the lyrics and music, such as "Gelir miyim?", "Çözülmez", "Hafızalı Şarkı" and "Yıldızlar", had a pleasant evening with his band. GSUAM will continue its activities with the Fazıl Say concert on February 17.

As a branch of the Effective Communication Club, the “Effective Communication Club Public Relations and Advertising Workshop” started its activities, which aims to learn by applying the activities of the advertising and public relations sectors. Being the guest of Feveran, Turkey's first born digital communication agency in Beşiktaş-Istanbul, AtölyEİK provided the participants to receive three separate trainings and practices. After the crisis management training given by Tülin Çeneli Dönmez, the founding partner of the agency, a case was given to the participants and solutions were awaited. Afterwards, Creative Strategist Duygu Acar and Digital Communications Director Betül Acar provided training on positioning strategy, idea finding stages and digital strategy. Afterwards, the participants were asked to do a case study again according to this training. Participants presented the ideas they created within a certain period of time. Bringing together training and practice, AtölyEİK noted the positive feedback of all participants and the agency. AtölyeEİK will continue its activities in the Spring term.

Our Vice Rector & Acting Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın met with the Heads of Faculty Student Clubs, Faculty Student Representative and Department Student Representatives on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Basın Ekspres campus.

In cooperation with the Effective Communication Club and the New Media and Communication Club, an event titled "Walther Kranz's Past, Present and Tomorrow" was held on Wednesday, December 8th. Bilal Boğa and Samet Özçi, who participated as speakers at the event held over the CATS platform, told the story of their agencies and made suggestions about the sector to the participants. The event ended after the question and answer session.

Effective Communication Club organized an event titled “Young Faces of the Industry” on CATS on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Brand Manager Hasan Çil, Digital Communication Manager Merve Yavaş and Allianz intern Jale Al attended the event as speakers, and students were told about the entry and retention processes of the young faces of the communication industry. The event ended after the questions of our students were answered.

Under the leadership of Assist. Prof. Özge Rencüzoğulları, Res. Assist. Dr. Burcu Ayhan Şahin and Res. Assist. Pelin Özkazan Kılbaş; Graduate students Zeynep Gülşah Sonalp, undergraduate students Zehra Giritlioğlu and Setanay Şimal Delioğlu attended the “The Fifth Congress of The Serbian Association for Cancer Research with international participation: Translational Potential of Cancer Research in Serbia”congress held online on Friday, December 3, 2021. They participated in the presentation of four posters containing their work in MOBIGEN Molecular Cancer Research Laboratories.

IKU Vocational School Medical Documentation and Secretariat Program organized a trip to IKU Library and Documentation Presidency and Central Library as part of the "Health Sciences Librarianship" course. During the trip attended by 2nd grade students under the supervision of Lecturer Canan Bulut Korkmaz, a comprehensive presentation was made to the students on the importance of librarianship, the processes of obtaining resources for the library, the classification and access of resources. At the end of the event, the students' questions about the subject were answered by the staff of the Library and Documentation Department.

As part of the "Building Knowledge and Materials I" course given in the Turkish Program of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, a technical visit was organized to the Marriott Hotel construction site in Karaköy on Thursday, December 2nd. In the technical trip, which was carried out in accordance with the content of the course, conducted by Assist. Prof. Aliye Rahşan Karabetça and Res. Assist. Armağan Gülhaş, the students experienced the construction site environment by seeing the variety of construction and manufacturing methods and materials.

E-Commerce and Marketing organized an event titled "Content Marketing: Past, Present and Future" on Tuesday, December 14, where Enes Akgül from the icerikbulutu.com team was the speaker. In the event held as a hybrid; Current examples of content marketing were discussed, and students' questions, especially about internship, were answered. At the end of the event, students were given a gift code for “Applied Digital Content Production Training”.

Tasarım Magazine organized a certified event on December 6-7, 2021 in order to exhibit Turkey's first innovative material library for the students of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture and to provide students with materials and company network.

In the event, a seminar series was held with the competition of Digalpa firm (epoxy-themed+award in all areas of life) and the drawing of the Tasarım Group team (5 architects, 10 students + 1 construction company and a camp).

Program of E-Commerce and Marketing organized an event on Thursday, December 16, in which Triber Founder Suphi Sarıgöllü was a speaker. In the hybrid event, subjects such as content strategy in digital communication and communication with the target audience were evaluated through current examples. At the end of the event, students' questions about the sector were also answered.

An interactive panel was held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Thursday, December 9, in cooperation with IKU Architecture Club and YapıArch. Burak Pekoğlu and Murat Şahin were guests of the event, and many students from the Department of Architecture attended the event. A certificate of participation was also given to the students at the event.

An article by Res. Asst. A. Hilal Iavarone, a faculty member of the Department of Architecture, titled “The Mediatic State of Architectural Representation as a Definition of Simulacrum” was published in the Gedik University Modular journal.

The article titled "Participatory Approach as an Alternative in Formal Architectural Design Education" co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Yasemin Erkan Yazıcı, Asst. Prof. Zeynep Ayşe Gökşin, Prof. Dr. Evrim Töre, Lecturer Şeyda Şen, Res. Asst. A. Hilal Iavarone, Res. Asst. Berkay Oskay and Res. Asst. Ufuk Küçükyazıcı, academicians of the Department of Architecture, in the 72nd issue of the Mimar.ist published by  the Chamber of Architecture. In the article, the works of our Architecture Department students who attended the "Participatory and Entrepreneurial Approaches in Design I-II" studio in the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2019-2020 Academic Year were included.

Within the scope of Turkiye Klinikleri Publishing House Family Medicine Special Issue, which has an important place in the Medicine and Health Sciences community; The book chapters of Res. Asst. Pelin Cin, one of our Nutrition and Dietetics Department faculty members, titled "Kadın Sağlığında Yaşam Döngülerine Göre Beslenme (Nutrition According to Life Cycles in Women's Health)" and " Kadınlarda Sağlıklı Beslenme ve Gıda Politikaları (Healthy Nutrition and Food Policies in Women)" by Specialist Dietitian Gözde Ekici have been published.

Lecturer Dr. Ayşegül Berrak Köten, Head of the Banking and Insurance Secondary Education Program, presented the "Statistical Evaluation of Stock Exchange Performance of Banks Traded in the Sustainability Index" at the "ISBES - International Sustainable Business and Economic Strategies Congress" that held on 10-11 December 2021.

The Department of Industrial Engineering will organize a seminar about “Applications in BSH Turkey” in the scope of “Supply Chain Management” course. The event, in which Suzan Güreli, one of our 2015 alumni and BSH Turkey Head of Section Local Distribution Operation, is the speaker, will be on December 20, 2021, Monday at 11.00, via CATS.

An award ceremony will be held by the Department of Architecture on Monday, December 20 at 12.30 in the 2nd floor corridor C in order to evaluate the projects designed by the students in the 2020-2021 Spring Semester "Architectural Design" studios.

Program of Tourism and Hotel Management will organize hands-on training at Fairmont Quasar Istanbul Hotel in the scope of their "Housekeeping Management" course. The training, which is going to be given by Fairmont Quasar Istanbul Executive Housekeeper Hande Tütüncüçakır, will be held on Monday, December 20, between 14.00-17.00.

A movie screening event will be organized by the English Literature Club in order to strengthen the bond between the members. Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall will host the event, in which David Lynch's movie "Lost Highway" will be screened, on Monday, December 20, between 18:00 and 21:00.

+1 Down and Autism Awareness Club will hold a meeting in order to integrate members and make new term planning and business divisions at the backyard of Ataköy campus on Tuesday, December 21, at 13.00.

Program of Tourism and Hotel Management will organize a conference in which certain subjects such as recruitment and interview techniques, CV preparation, digital marketing will be discussed. The event, in which Four Seasons Bosphorus Directors Cenk Caner, Burcu Ayoz and Sibel Benli are the speakers, will take place on Tuesday, December 21, between 15.00-17.00 at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.

Express Science Club will organize an event titled "Welcome to the New Year with Express". One of the first games that come to mind when the New Year is mentioned, bingo will be played, and the event will be held on Tuesday, December 21 at 16.00 in the Ataköy campus backyard.

A training titled "18 Amazing Ways to Use LinkedIn" will be organized by Kültür Point in order to share methods that will enable effective use of LinkedIn with students and graduates. The training, which will be given by the Deputy Head of Kültür Point Unit Mücella Ezgin, will be held on Tuesday, December 21 at 17.00 via the Microsoft Teams application.

The Department of International Trade and Finance will organize a seminar in which students will be informed about globalization and how globalization affects companies. The event, in which Economist Dr. Aslıhan Ataberk Demirhan from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, General Directorate of Structural Economic Research is the speaker, will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform on Wednesday, December 22 at 10:00.

The opening ceremony of Istanbul Kültür University Motion Analysis Application and Evaluation, Application and Research Center (IKU-HAM) will be held on Wednesday, December 22, between 11.00-15.00. Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall will host the ceremony in which Prof. Dr. Nazif Ekin Akalan, Director of IKU-HAM & Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, is the speaker.

In cooperation with the Department of Cartoons and Animation and GSUAM, a conversation will be organized in order to convey to the students the stages of coming up with the idea, writing the story, visualizing it and preparing for publication while creating a children's book. The conversation in which Philosopher/Writer Deniz Alter, Sezen Aksu Taşyürek, Children’s Book Illustrator, and Sezen Şenbabaoğlu, Editor, are the speakers is on December 22, Wednesday at 14.00, multi-purpose hall at the first floor.

Ceramics Exhibition from the IKU Akıngüç Collection will be open to visiting on December 22, Wednesday at 15.00, IKU Arts Gallery. The exhibition in which the artworks of esteemed artists such as Atilla Galatalı, Füreya Kora, and Jale Yılmazer is open until February 18 2022.

The Program of E-Commerce and Marketing will organize a conference titled “Brands in the Digitalizing World”in order to discuss the brand communication with the current examples by bringing students together with the sector. The event, in which Ediz Tokabaş, B2B Online PR Service Managing Partner is the speaker, will be on December 22, Wednesday, between 15.00-17.00 via CATS.

The Program of Medical Documentation and Secretarial will organize a trip to Marmara University Central Library in order to inform students about library classification systems, considerations in cataloguing, scanning methods, resource acquisition methods, open archives, the principles of creating and using databases, information and document management. The trip will be on December 22, Wednesday, under the supervision of Lecturer Canan Bulut.

Kültür Point will organize a training titled “How to Develop Digital Learning Skills?” in order to enable students gai awareness by developing their digital skills. The training which will be given by Mücella Ezgin, Unit Deputy Head of the Kültür Point is on December 22, Wednesday at 17.00 via Microsoft Teams.

In cooperation with the Industrial Engineering Club and ERP Campus, the "Oracle Net Suite" education program will be organized to contribute to the career development of students. The third training program will be held by ERP Campus Channel Sales Manager İnci Oralp and ERP Consultant Maral Taher on Wednesday, December 22, between 17.00-19.30 in the Department of Industrial Engineering laboratory.

The Hope Alkazar exhibition in Beyoğlu will be visited on Thursday, December 23, between 13.00-16.00, in cooperation with the New Media and Communication Club, the Effective Communication Club and the Department of New Media and Communiciation.

The Department of Psychology will organize a conference titled "Psychology Talks 2: Traumatic Memories and EMDR Therapy" to inform students about the problems caused by traumatic memories and EMDR therapy, which is one of the methods used in the treatment of these problems. The event, in which Clinical Psychologist Mehtap Güngör is the speaker, will be held on Thursday, December 23 at 14.00 on CATS.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Student Life, Career and Alumni Counseling Unit (Kültür Point) will organize the "Philosophy of Mathematics and Thought Workshop" in order to discuss ways to reach the result without questioning the unthinkable. Program of E-Commerce and Marketing will organize a conference titled "The Importance of User Experience in Digital Marketing" in order to bring students together with the industry and evaluate the subject of user experience in digital marketing through current examples. "Education Overview Symposium" will be organized by IKU University at School Club to inform students about "Equal Opportunity in Education and Society". The event, in which MEF University Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Mustafa Özcan and the academics of the Faculty of Education Assoc. Prof. Sevcan Yağan, Assist. Prof. Işıl Taş and Assist. Prof. Meryem Demir Güdül will be speakers, will be held on Thursday, December 23 at 15.00 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center.

A "New Year's Party at 2022 IKU" will be held by Kültür Point on Thursday, December 23, 2021 between 17.00-23.00 in the front garden of Ataköy campus. In the event where a DJ performance and a dance show will be held, Orchestra IKU will take the stage to offer an unforgettable evening to the people of Kültür.

In cooperation with IKU Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) and Management Consultants Association (YDD), "Foreign Trade in the New World: What awaits Family Businesses?" panel will be held. The event, in which Dünya Newspaper Columnist Hakan Çınar and from Türk Eximbank İbrahim Görmüş and Aydın Güngör are the speakers, will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 20.00 via ZOOM platform. The event will also be broadcast on YDD Youtube account.

The products created by the senior students of the Department of Preschool Education within the scope of the "Art Education in Early Childhood" course will be exhibited on the ground floor of the Basın Ekspres campus on Friday, December 24, between 10:00 and 16:00.

In order to increase the interaction of the members with each other, the Fashion Club will organize an event "Five Teas at IKU Fashion Club" at 15.00 on Friday, December 24 at the Alumni Lounge.

Kültür Point will organize “Diction and Effective Body Language Education” so that participants can speak Turkish effectively and use body language correctly. The education, which will be given by the Instructor İlknur Güneş, will be held on Friday, December 24 between 15.00-18.30 in Ataköy Campus.

IKU Dance Club will organize a movie screening event on Friday, December 24 at 18:00 at Erdal İnönü Seminar Hall.

Hello, I was born in 1996 in Istanbul Büyükçekmece. I completed my high school education at Istanbul Büyükçekmece Anatolian High School. I graduated from Istanbul Kültür University Department of Art Management, which I entered with a 100% scholarship in 2018, with a 3rd rank. I completed the Human Resources Management Master's Program at Istanbul University as of March 2020. As a perspective on life; I describe myself as a cheerful, nature loving individual who is interested in art and cinema 😊.

The book examines how the field has evolved since its beginnings and assesses the strengths and weaknesses of its current research programme, including its relationship with behavioural economics. The book is excellent preparatory reading for degree-level courses in economics as well as specific courses in behavioural economics and philosophy of economics.
