IKU 2026 Preference and Promotion Days Successfully Concluded

Istanbul Kültür University’s (IKU) 2026 Preference and Promotion Days, which offered prospective students and their families the opportunity to get to know our university closely, successfully came to an end as of Monday, August 10, 2026, at 18:00.

Throughout the promotion period—which saw immense interest from thousands of prospective students and their families looking to shape their future under the roof of IKU—our academic and administrative staff, along with our Culture Ambassadors, guided applicants toward making the right choices by answering their questions.

Promotion Team Gathered at Canopy Front Garden

Following an intense and productive promotion period, a special appreciation meeting was held in the Canopy Front Garden on August 10 at 16:00, attended by our Rector. Our Rector expressed gratitude to all faculty members, administrative personnel, and Culture Ambassador students who worked with great dedication and effort throughout the process.

The gathering, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, concluded with a celebration of the team's dedicated efforts and commemorative photos.

As the Istanbul Kültür University family, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all colleagues and Culture Ambassadors who contributed during this busy period, and we wish great success to all prospective students taking their first steps toward becoming an IKU student.

Cooperation Protocol Signed Between IKU, IKUANTS TEKMER, and ECOFOLIO

A Cooperation Protocol was signed between Istanbul Kültür University, IKUANTS Technology Development Center (TEKMER), and ECOFOLIO to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem and support innovative startups' access to financing opportunities.

During the signing ceremony, the protocol was signed by Istanbul Kültür University Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, IKUANTS TEKMER Deputy Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç, and ECOFOLIO – Letven Capital General Manager Kamil Kılıç.

Our Academicians' Paper Published in the 11th Family Businesses Congress Proceedings

The scientific paper titled “An Application on the Institutionalization of Family Businesses,” co-authored by Assistant Professor Ethem Tarhan and Assistant Professor İlayda Ülkü, has been published in the Proceedings Book of the 11th Family Businesses Congress.

We congratulate our academicians for this successful work, which presents key findings regarding institutionalization processes in family businesses, and wish them continued success in their future academic research.

IKU Mountaineering Club Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Artür Yetvart Mumcu Reaches the Summit of Mount Kaçkar!

Istanbul Kültür University Mountaineering Club Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Artür Yetvart Mumcu successfully completed his summit climb via the challenging North Route of Mount Kaçkar—one of Türkiye’s most important high-altitude routes—reaching the 3,937-meter-high summit on August 1, 2026.

Demanding high altitude, rugged terrain conditions, and sustained physical endurance, the Kaçkar North Route is among the trails that require top-tier experience, technical preparation, and conditioning. Executed with meticulous planning, endurance, and safety discipline, the expedition culminated in reaching the peak at an elevation of 3,937 meters.

As the Istanbul Kültür University family, we warmly congratulate our Mountaineering Club Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Artür Yetvart Mumcu on successfully conquering the formidable summit of Mount Kaçkar, and we wish him continued success in outdoor sports and mountaineering.
