International "Economic Empowerment of Women through Structural Reforms" Symposium was organized with the collaboration of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Law, Criminal Law Application and Research Center (CEHAMER) and Women Lawyers Group Middle East. The symposium that was held in Sirinevler Campus; Deputy Minister of Commerce Riza Tuna Turagay, IKÜ Head of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akingüç Günver, IKÜ Rector Dr. Erhan Güzel, IKÜ Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Bahri Öztürk; as well as the UK and Germany; also 20 representatives from the MENA countries Algeria, Morocco, Abu Dhabi and Iraq; instructors and students attended.

In the symposium, the role of women in the economy of the country and the necessary steps to take more places in business life were discussed.In addition to this, the steps that are needed to be taken through law to increase the number of female employees were discussed within the framework of the idea that there are small number of female employees in Turkey.

Acquaintace Reception was held for the student clubs with the collaboration of İstanbul Kültür University Alumni Association (İKÜMED) and Kültür Point. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel , Advisor to the Rector Assist. Prof. Hikmet Çağlar and unit and department heads of our university attended to the program that acquaintance, solidarity, collaboration developing and reinforcing cultural belongings is aimed.

Our Rector Erhan Güzel stated that he always supports İKÜ's students to make their ideas and dreams come true by writing projects and working on effective activities.
The program ended with club's question and photoshoots.

Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) hosted Fazıl Say, famous composer and pianist, at the first concert of the 2019-2020 academic year. The famous artist, who performed his own compositions and works of contemporary composers, gave a recital to the music lovers at the concert held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Wednesday 9th October at 19.00.

İstanbul Kültür University said hello to the new term with "Welcome Fest". Athena and one of the first names that comes to mind when rap music is mentioned Ceza song for Kültür and all university students at the festival that organized in parking lot in Ataköy Campus on Wednesday 9th October. Macedonian violinist Vikor Angelov also performed at the festival.

The 63th guest of the “Architecture Talks organized by the Department of Architecture was Ali Faruk Göksu, the City Planner. Göksu met with our students at the conference held on Tuesday, October 8, and informed our students about Social Impact Design ”and explained the approach of Anatolian Design Workshop (ATA), which he founded, in detail.

Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics faculty Research Assistant Dr. Alp Ayan and  Research Assistant Sinan Meriç and our graduate student Tamer Gümüş performed at the presidential Ottoman Archives Congress Hall between 9-11 September 2019 They attended the Congress called”  II. Green Biotechnology".

As a result of the activities of Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Library and Documentation Department; MEDLINE Complete, CINAHL Complete, Engineering Source, Art & Architecture Source, Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals and Education Source are now available for trial access.

The application for the opening of the Master's Program in Business Administration Thesis/Without Thesis in Business Administration M.S was approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Istanbul Kultur University Alumni Association (IKUMED) will organize the “Alumni Day" on Sunday 13th October. The program that will start with a moment of silence, the National Anthem and a mini opening concert in the Akingüç Auditorium and Art Center will continue with graduation speeches. After the speech of our Rector Dr. Erhan Güzel and Head of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akingüç Günver, memorial plaques will be presented to the graduates who completed their 10 years. The program will come to end with the concert of famous singer Mirkelam.

The Department of Arts Management has been continuing to organize "Alumni Interviews" to bring together alumni who work in different disciplines in the field of art and culture with the students. At the event that the Coordinator of Bilsart Project Zeynep Tetik will be the speaker, Erdal Inönü Seminar Hall will host on Tuesday 15th October between 13:00-15:00.

The Department of Cinema and Television will organize the event "How Many Colours Are In A Rainbow?: Introduction to Gender" for the purpose of introducing students to basic concepts such as biological gender, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity; and discussing the relationship between media and discrimination. The event that SU-Gender Education Coordinator Emirhan Deniz Çelebi be the speaker will be held in Önder Öztunali Conference Hall on Thursday 17th October between 13:00-15:00.

IKÜ Kültür Point will organize a workshop titled "Proplem Analysis in Interpersonal Communication" to help our students improve their persuasion skills in interpersonal communication and to expand their influence in proffessional life. The activity that will be given by Instructor Dilek Ölmez will be held in Erdal Inönü Seminar Hall on Thursday 17th October between 15:00-18:00.

"Transactions of the President: Legal Characteristics, Place and Audit in Norms Hierarchy" Symposium will be organized with the collaboration of IKÜ Faculty of Law and the Public Legists Platform in Önder Öztunali Seminer Hall in October 18-19, 2019 between 09:00-18:00.

I graduated as one of the first students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Kültür University in 2006. Since I enjoyed taking part in all areas of design, I also completed my minor education at the Department of Communication Design Cinematography Module at the Faculty of Arts and Design. I continued my academic life with IMIAD Program of Istanbul Technical University to get educational experience abroad and later on I completed the PhD Program in Architecture at Istanbul Kültür University in 2017.
