"Telerehabilitation Project" was implemented under the control of the academic staff of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Health Sciences, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department. Within the scope of this project, patients who need physical therapy in pandemic conditions and who cannot continue their treatment and students whose internship training is disrupted due to the risk of contamination are brought together and voluntarily provide remote treatment services. Within the scope of the project implemented since the 2019-2020 Summer School period, patients have been remotely evaluated with online communication tools, and safe exercise programs that they can apply in their home environment are prepared under the follow-up of the academic staff and exercises are applied at least 3 sessions a week according to the patient participation. IKU personnel and / or their relatives who need musculoskeletal complaints and physical therapy (adult; older than 55 years of age; with neurological and / or rheumatological diseases) can participate in the project conducted voluntarily on online platforms (Whatsapp, Skype, ZOOM, etc.). Personnel who volunteer on behalf of themselves and / or their relatives are required to fill in the contact information on the questionnaire.

According to the 2-year impact factor calculations of TRDizin (ULAKBIM), the Journal of Education has taken its place as the 4th highest impact factor among 1407 journals indexed in TRDizin.

"15th Heads of the Department of  Interior Architecture Meeting” organized by Istanbul Kültür University Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, was held online on Friday, December 25th.

The event, which started with the opening speeches of our Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu and Head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Prof. Dr. Gülay Usta, continued with various sessions within the framework of the "CONTACT I LESS” title. The Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects Head of Interior Architects Chamber Emrah Kaymak, department heads and representatives from 40 different university providing education in Turkey and TRNC also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the state of interior architecture education during the pandemic process, approaches to distance education, experiences, problems and various solution suggestions were discussed.

Greetings. As a Kültür2000 College and IKU graduate, Kültür has a great importance in my life. For this reason, I do not mind introducing myself as a “Kültür” ist. My paths with Kültür crossed when I was a child. After graduating from Kültür2000 College in 2009, I studied at Pertevniyal High School. In 2013, I returned to Kültür and graduated from IKU Faculty of Law. For this reason, I am both a member of Kültür College Alumni Association and a member of İKÜMED.

Thanks to the strong academic staff of IKU Faculty of Law, I received a very good law education. Taking advantage of the international opportunities offered by Kültür, I have been at Ruhr Universitaet Bochum as an Erasmus + exchange student for a year. Thanks to this, I had the opportunity to get to know people and different cultures from all over the world by improving my English and German.

After completing the Erasmus + program and returning to Kültür, I worked as a "Kültür Ambassador" in the Corporate Communication Directorate to explain my experiences to candidates who will choose a university. I tried to help the candidates who will choose by explaining their university life and legal education.

I attended the "Izmir Human Rights Academy", which is traditionally organized every year by IKU Faculty of Law. I had the opportunity to discuss the human rights dimension of law with law students and academics from different legal disciplines. The papers I presented at the academy were published in the journal "Fasikül", which is the official publication of IKU Faculty of Law.

My student years at IKU were also very dynamic socially. After completing the diction and oratory courses given at IKU, I worked as a presenter in many events at our university. Among them, the most memorable one was the 2015 launch of the book "Education Engineer" by the Civil Engineer MSc.  Fahamettin Akıngüç, Honorary Chairman of IKU Board of Trustees. In addition, I took part in the organization team of TEDxIKU events held in Ataköy campus.

In my last year in Kültür, I applied for the Jean Monnet Scholarship Program, financed by the European Union. I qualified for the scholarship by passing the written exam and completed my master's degree in International and European Business Law at Trinity College Dublin. Printed on stage with my master's thesis, I wrote about the corporate governance regime of companies in Turkey. I am currently working as a consultant for a multinational company in Dublin.

Kültür played an important role in shaping my future thanks to its dynamic student life with its strong academic staff and international connections. Although I am physically far from Kültür, my bond with it is still very strong thanks to IKÜMED.

An e-seminar titled "Choosing the Right Career and Next Generation Competencies" was held within the scope of the webinar series "Job Belongs to knower of it: Entrepreneurship Models" organized by Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School. The guest of the webinar series which is organized in order to gain different perspectives to the participants with the experiences of people who have achieved success in their sectors and to increase their level of awareness moderated by Lecturer A. Berrak Köten, Lecturer Dr. Barış Safran and Lecturer Burak Öçlü, was Turkey’s one of the most effective human resource management professional YMA Platform Founder & Leadership and Career Development Consultant Yasemin Merih Alparslan.

Yasemin Merih Alparslan made a cross-generational comparison in terms of business life and career and said that the previous generation mostly started at the age of 20 and retired by working in the same workplace for about 18 years. She explained that this situation is very different in the new generation by explaining various examples and their reasons. Alparslan stated that the reflection of medical inventions to the pharmaceutical industry takes a long time due to tests and permits, and that more new drugs will be released in the coming years compared to the past, and this momentum will continue, and that the big data applications that seriously affect all sectors also affect medicine. Stating that genome sequencing, filtering of possible problems, big data applications in early diagnosis and treatment will make a serious contribution, Yasemin Merih Alparslan emphasized that business life will change in this context with the prolongation of human life. Yasemin Merih Alparslan drew attention to the fact that the most money is spent on researches in the world, in the field of medicine, that the total resource spent on medical research in the last 20 years has exceeded 1 trillion dollars and these expenditures continue to increase.

He stated that China, which is rapidly enriching and aiming to be an important player in every field, has entered the field of medical research and application very ambitiously and they are planning to spend 300 billion dollars for the newly established "China Medical City". She emphasized that thanks to the combination of technologies, 3D organ printing is no longer a dream, awareness of healthy life has increased in the society and significant success has been achieved especially in the fight against obesity and smoking. Screening and diagnostic technologies are also developing rapidly, for example; She stated that now, for 99 dollars, we can have genetic testing and learn in advance which diseases we are likely to have in our old age. Stating that organic organ production initiatives in animals and laboratories have yielded successful results and organ transplants have increased, Alparslan said that wiki-medicine, tele-medicine, medical tourism applications are becoming widespread thanks to the rapidly developing and spreading internet. She pointed out that people can find faster, cheaper and more effective solutions to medical problems.

Alparslan also shared her predictions that change is inevitable in line with these developments and how this change will affect the pension system. Alparslan said, "Currently, the developed countries of the world are talking about bringing the retirement age from 65 to 70. The projections are that the retirement age will be 75 in the 2050-2070 range. In other words, a 50-year working life is waiting for us."

IKU Vocational School organized an e-seminar titled "Titanic Hotels Online Career Days" on the Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application on Monday, January 4th. First of all, this play will always remain a memory that I remember well. I took the "Literature on Stage" course as an option, not knowing what to play yet. At that time, I had no idea what we were going to play. I just wanted to experience taking part in this play after a theater play I went to and it remained a very good memory for me in my last year of school. I am still meeting with a friend I met in this play. Because, to speak for myself, I chose to devote three days of my week, and sometimes more, to this play, although there were many projects (thesis, internship) that I had to manage at the same time in the last year. We improved ourselves day by day, starting from our first rehearsal. I also devoted time to this play, which I enjoyed in every rehearsal, other than rehearsals. I studied my role and attended rehearsals with great pleasure from beginning to end. It is a great source of honour for our dear teacher Esin Akalın, as well as for us who performed this play, that she was noticed by the British press and appeared in Jane Austen's Regency World magazine, although almost two and a half years have passed. Finally, I would like to thank my teacher Esin Akalın, who made me love the theatre, who took care of every detail, from our costumes to the stage layout, and who did not hesitate to make any sacrifices during the production process, and my friends who contributed to the play…

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences celebrated the New Year on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ali Şen, academic staff and students.

Banking and Insurance Program (Formal and Evening Education) organized a new year party on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, on CATS Meetings with the participation of 1st and 2nd grade students. International Trade and Finance Department organized a webinar titled "Department of International Trade and Finance Fall Seminars IV: Sustainable Cities and Istanbul" on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 16.15. Assoc. Prof. Yaşar Dilek Ünalan, one of our academicians who attended the event as a speaker, talked about the sustainability of the cities and the environment and, in this context the Kanal Istanbul project.

The first event of the IKU Marketing Club which was started with the initiative of Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School students, was held online on Saturday, January 2, 2021. In the event conducted by Marketing Club Advisor Lecturer Emine Anık, Assist. Prof. Derya Yalçın was the participant. The event in which the Head of the Business Management Program Lecturer Gözde Bircan also attended, continued with the answers of the questions of the attendees after Assist. Prof Derya Yalçın's presentation on "Marketing in the Digitalizing World". Sabri Öztürk, Vice President of the Marketing Club, also gave a motivational speech at the event.

Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design organized an event titled "The Most Successful Project Selection and Award Ceremony" for the Spring Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year. The projects of the students in the selection were exhibited at the event held on Tuesday, December 29 through Microsoft Teams with intensive participation, and the most successful project owners selected were awarded their certificates.

In cooperation with Asimov Technology Club and IKUVENT Club, "Innovative Entrepreneurs Summit" was held on the Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application in 4 sessions on January 2-3, 2021.

In the first session, under the moderation of Oğuzhan Sarıtaş from Car4Future Tech team and Fevzi Tekin, President of IKUVENT Club, the subject of "Team Building and Business Development" was conveyed to our students in detail and their questions were answered. An average of 100 people attended this session. In the second session, while the topic of "Entrepreneurship and Marketing" was discussed under the moderation of Student Career Founder Olcay Aksoy and Asimov Technology Club Cooperation Officer Yasin Doğan, 60 participants were reached. In the third session, where Earnado Founding Partner Barış Korkmaz and IKUVENT Club Vice President Sultan Mulhan took over the moderators, the topic of "Digital Marketing in a Changing World" was conveyed to the participants. In the 4th session, under the moderation of Emoty.ai Founders Oğuzhan Sarıtaş and our graduate Soner Abay and Vice President of IKU Asimov Club Pelin Müge Çağlar, the topic of "User Reaching and Globalization" was discussed. Our graduate also conveyed his own project to the students.

In the event, it was aimed that students not only improve themselves in the technical field, but also realize the projects they will carry out with an entrepreneurial spirit.

In addition to viewing over 2 thousand 900 mobile applications at the event, 228 records were received. With more than 100 participants from 75 different departments of 77 different universities, information was obtained on important issues in the name of entrepreneurship and all questions were answered.

İKÜ IEEE Club organized an event titled “rolEMB” by EMBS branch. Moderated by research assistant Dr. Özge Rencüzoğulları, an academic from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, the event aimed to be able to choose the subject to be studied in many different fields emerging with different sub-disciplines in the developing and changing world and to find our role models in life. Describing her knowledge and experiences in the event, research assistant. Dr. Rencüzoğulları prepared the students for the sector and guided them.

Ata Ertuğrul, one of our 2018 graduates of the Department of Business Administration, gave training to our students about the use of Excel at the event named "Excel in Business World ". In the training held in 2 sessions, the importance of using Excel, shortcuts and formulas of the program were mentioned. With the examples made later, our students were also experienced.

"Python and Data Analysis Training" was organized by the RAS branch of IKU IEEE Club on December 27-28. In the training given by the instructor Nehir Günce Daşcı, the Python language and data analysis, which is one of the usage areas of this language, were discussed. On the first day of the training, where the Python language came from, general data types, various methods, variable types, control loops and special functions were explained. Daşçı prepared the students for the second day's education by showing the subjects of "num.py" and "Pandas" libraries after this content that covers basic coding narration. On the second day of the training, presentation  tittled "What is machine learning and what are its subheadings?" was made over the questions. Then, training was given on one of these subtitles "RFM" (Recency Frequency Monetary). By giving examples about the Python language and the Pandas library and RFM analysis, the course was taught over ‘data frames.

Istanbul Kültür University Accounting and Auditing Club organized an e-seminar titled "2020s: Accounting, New Career Areas and Trends in Finance and Control" with the ACCA Turkey Cooperation, on January 6, 2021, Wednesday, via Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application. The event started with the opening speech and vote of thanks of İbrahim Şahin Cesur, Vice Head of the Accounting and Auditing Club & 2nd year student from the program of Business Management. In the event which is moderated by the Head of the Program of Business Management Lecturer Gözde Bircan, the speaker was Filiz Demiröz, Turkey and the ACCA and Head of Emerging Markets; the topics such as, importance of ACCA professional qualification certificates, the transformation of accounting, finance and auditing in the digital world, 20 new career trends and future career areas in accounting, finance and auditing in the 2020s, new talents that will increase in importance with digitalization, the adoption of professional digital technologies by professional professionals, the digital skills of accounting and finance professionals and the importance of pursuing a career in finance and accounting were discussed. The event, attended by many students from the Programs of Business Management, Banking and Insurance, Logistics and Health Institutions Management, ended with answering the questions.

Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture organized an e-panel titled "BIM: 4D, 5D and Rule Based Controls" on Wednesday, December 23 at 20:00, where current issues and studies in architecture were discussed.

Architect & BIM Manager Barış Canpolat, Prof. Dr. Salih Ofluoğlu and Dr. Ahmet Turan Köksal were the speakers of the event and Assist. Prof. Emrah Türkyılmaz, one of our academicians from the Architecture Department, was the moderator.

IKU Vocational School organized an e-seminar titled “Career in Cybersecurity: Where Should I Start?”  on Thursday, January 7. Moderated by Lecturer Görkem Katmer, Computer Programming Consultant, Barikat Academy Manager Emre Çamalan and Cyber Career Program Manager Didem Tufan from Barikat Cyber Security attended to the event. In the webinar held with the participation of ITServ Group manager, Customer Services Director Lecturer Gökhan Dikmen; current developments in the subject such as “What kind of career field does cyber security offer you?”, “How can you improve yourself in the field of cyber security?”, “What different career paths are available in cyber security?”  were narrated to our students.

Effective Communication Club, New Media and Communication Club, New Media Department, Communication Arts Department, Vocational School Public Relations and Promotion Program organized a webinar titled “Urban Transformations in My Career” on Cats Collobrate on December 25, 2020. Vestel Education Specialist Samet Aldemir, who participated in the event as a speaker, explained the points that students should pay attention to while preparing for the sector and during online interviews throughout their academic lives.

The experimental film "The Knowledge", shot by Res. Assist. Okan Şeker, one of the academic staff of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department, in 2016 included in Animation Nights New York's 2021 screening calendar.

The "Philosophy of Mathematics and Thought Workshop Fall Term" trainings, which were organized by the Kültür Point and started to be given by lecturer Numan Aydınoğlu on the CATS-Collobarate on September 16, 2020, have ended. At the end of the last 10 productive weeks, plans were made for the Spring Semester due to the demand from the students. Trainings will continue on Friday, February 19, 2021 via CATS-Collobarate.

Lecturer İrem Aydoğdu, an academic at IKU Vocational School Public Relations and Publicity Program, published an article titled “Social Trust and Non-Governmental Organizations: A Research on Education, Health and Environmental Organizations” in the 2nd issue of the Journal of Black Sea Communication Studies in December 2020.

Istanbul Kültür University Alumni and Members Association (İKÜMED) will organize an e-conversation on the “Rights of Women and Children and Their Reflections in Practice.” The event, where lawyer Çağla Gül Bulut will be a speaker, will be held on Tuesday, January 12 at 21:00 on @ikumezun Instagram account. Vocational school organizes a "MICROSOFT TURKEY PEAK UP ONLINE EDUCATION WEBINAR SERIES" in order to give students competence in subjects such as microsoft office, code writing, simulation and 3d processes. The event, where PEEKUP Senior Business Consultant Hande Tarhan will be the moderator, will be held on Friday, January 15, at 10:00 on Microsoft Teams.

The series of workshops organized by the Vocational School (MYO) in order to bring together the concepts of “Culture-Art-Humor and Human” that individuals need with the understanding of” People First”, to motivate students, to rethink them and to reintegrate them into society as individuals with broad vision, continues. Can you briefly describe yourself? Who is Tuğçe Kumral with 2-3 sentences?

I was born in Izmir in 1990. I graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Business Administration Department in 2014. I graduated from Marmara University, Management and Organization Department in 2017, where I started my master's education in the same year. I am still continuing my doctorate education in this program. I have been working as a member of Istanbul Kültür University for 4 years as a Research Assistant.

How has your participation in the Kültür Family developed?

During my undergraduate education, I decided to become an academician with the influence of my research assistant professor. When I moved to Istanbul for my graduate education, I realized that the academicians whose books we read enthusiastically were in the academic staff of Istanbul Kultur University. As a result of the academic staff announcement opened by IKU in 2016, I took the exam and realized my dream of working with the valuable professors of our department.

What are the things that IKU adds to you?

Since I first started my working life at Istanbul Kültür University, I learned many things here. It has given me family, good relationships, tolerance, teamwork and a lot more.

Is there an unforgettable memory in the Kültür part of your life?

Yes, there are many memories that I cannot forget, but the most valuable one for me was the day I met with our Chairman of the Board of Trustees Bahar Akıngüç Günver. I had the chance to talk to him about the paper I prepared for a congress. It was a source of pride and an unforgettable memory for me that our dear teacher liked the statement I prepared.
