One of the IEEE IKU Club TEKNOFEST teams, IKU Red Wings won the opportunity to compete in the final for the third time. As one of the well-established teams of TEKNOFEST, IKU Red Wings has successfully represented our university as a finalist in TEKNOFEST 2021 and 2022. Our team will face off the other teams for the top spots this year.

The UAV, named "HÜMA" by IKU Red Wings was developed to perform the two main missions of the competition, "Combating UAV" and "Kamikaze UAV". In the "Combating UAV" mission, the UAV will detect the rival UAV targets in case of dog fight and successfully shoot the targets in the virtual environment, while at the same time trying to avoid possible deadlock situations by the rival UAVs. In the "Kamikaze UAV" mission, the UAV will autonomously detect ground targets positioned on the competition and track from different angles of vision. It will successfully complete the detection by performing the necessary maneuvers according to the distance between the target and the UAV. The members of our team, whose flight trials have continued successfully as a result of multidisciplinary studies, consist of students from the Department of Computer Engineering and the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering.

Istanbul Kültür University student clubs sat down with Kültür Point unit officials. More than 100 club presidents and board members attended the meeting held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Head of Kültür Point Unit Assist. Prof. Neslihan Fatma Er and Education Activities and Organization Assistant Specialist Efe Anğın informed the club presidents about the processes. Assistant Alumni Relations Specialist, Abdulkadir Mehmet Akhan, also shared his insight and asked for support about ikum.network. The meeting, which started with a busy schedule, continued with spring term planning, online events and cooperation between clubs. The meeting, in which the demands of the clubs were listened, ended after the question and answer session.  

The book "The AI Does Not Hate You", translated by The Deputy Head of English Language and Literature Department, Assist. Prof. Ayşegül Turan, has been published by Can Yayınları.

Istanbul Kültür University, Kültür College, Kültür2000 College, IKUMED and KÜMED united to join in the efforts to the earthquake affected areas for the "March 8, International Working Women's Day". The "Fair Value of Labor Bazaar", which will be held to help aid our students and members in the cities damaged by the earthquake, will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 09.00, on the ground floor of Ataköy Campus.
