“Awareness Training for Earthquake” was organized in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Languages and the Gea - Mother Earth Search and Rescue Ecology and Social Campaigns Group. The training was held on Friday October 25, between 09.00-13.00in Şirinevler Campus C-Blok B1 Conference Hall.

Radio and TV Technology Program organized a conference titled “ Past, Present and Future of Digital Broadcasting”; the conference that Instructor Gökay Kalaycıoğlu was the moderator was helded in Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Wednesday 23th October. Evren and Evrim Yaşlak, the founders of Evo Group of Companies, who attended the event as a speaker, informed our students about digital publishing.

Organised by the Department of Communication Design on 25 October, Friday, underwater filmmaker Bengiz Özedereli came to our university under the “Sector Meetings” conferances. In the event, which was moderated by Dr. Nagihan Çakar Bilgin, Özdereli met with our students, answered their questions and he shared behind-the-scenes footage from underwater series and motion pictures, showing the equipment used underwater in practice.

Istanbul Kültür University Model United Nations Club, organised a conferance on October 24 at Ataköy campus, Wednesday titled “What is MUN?". In the second conference held this year, club members and students were told how the MUN conferences, a simulation of the United Nations, were organized and the order in these conferences. At the end of the event, where all questions about MUN were answered, a Mun simulation was revived by the club board.

The International Law Club held an event called ‘At the beginning of the road’ on Thursday (October 24th). Attorney Adem Yıldırım moderated the event in Şirinevler campus; Attorney Ömer Faruk Alimoğlu, Attorney Işıl Eren Alioğlu and former judge & retired notary Attorney Mehmet Çelikbilek came together with the students of the Faculty of Law and shared their professional experiences.

Istanbul Kultur University Alumni and Members Association (IKUMED) will organize a Kiyikoy Trekking Trip “between 08.00-20.30 on Saturday, November 2nd.

The Department of Communication Arts will organize a conference titled “Next Generation Entrepreneurship” to raise awareness and encourage students about the concept of entrepreneurship, which is important in the context of ever-changing business life with technology. 3Gen Technology Founding Partner Engin Özgen and NTV Presenter Sami Altınkaya will be speaking at the 1st floor multi-purpose seminar hall between 10.00-12.00 on Monday, November 4.

The Public Relations and Promotion Program will organize an event entitled "A Day of Communicators in Brand Management",to inform students on Advertising, Online Branding and Brand Positioning and Brand Management. Albaraka Türk Corporate Communications Specialist Ümit Yavuz and Media Planning Assistant Cankat Akman will be the speakers of the event, which will take place on Tuesday, November 5th between 14.00-16.00 in the class 2A-01 in our İncirli campus.

Kültür Point will organize a seminar titled “Catching The Current” within 2019-2020 Academic Year. In the program consisted of six seminars, Dr. Görkem Gökçelioğlu  will be our host; the event that Dr. Görkem Gökçelioğlu will inform our students will be held in Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Wednesday 6th November between 14:00-16:00.

İKÜ Film Workshop will organize the “2019-2020 Term Meeting” in the 1st floor at multi-purpose hall between 13.30-15.00 on Monday, November 4 to discuss the activities planned for the 2019-2020 period with the members and get the opinions of the new members.

The Civil Air Transportation Management Program will organize a conference titled “The Effects of Airport Stress on Employees and Passengers” in order to raise awareness among students about managing airport stress. Clinical Psychologist Alev Yildirim will speak at the event on Monday, November 4 between 14.30-16.30 hours will be held in our Incirli campus.

İKU Kültür Point will organize a training course named “New Generation Parenting and Communication with New Generation Children with Serap Duygulu” that every week there will be different topics to discuss. Fourth of the training program that will be open for participants of all ages and educational levels; parents, instructor, students etc. as well as  PCG students, will be held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Monday 4th November between 18:00-21:00.

İKU Kültür Point will organize “Life Skills Workshop with NLP” to reinforce students’ personal skills; and to contribute them to find “positive performance” for life in accordance with the assumptions and applications of NPL. Course that will be given by Interpersonal Communication Specialist & NLP Instructor Dilek Ölmez, will be held at multi purpose hall (on the 4th floor) on Tuesday 5th November between 15:00-18:00.

IKU Department of Architecture will open the 2018-2019 Student Project Exhibition at 15.00 on Thursday, November 7th. The exhibition, which will include the works of both students and lecturers, can be visited on the ground floor of Ataköy Campus until November 28th.

The projects produced in the “Interior Architecture Project” and “ Interior and Furniture” courses given at the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department will be exhibited at the OB IMOB OBJET Fair which will be held at CNR Expo Yeşilköy Exhibition Center on November 5-10.

The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design will organize a technical trip to “Artist, Istanbul Art Fair” on Wednesday, November 6 from 13.00-17.00 within the scope of İÇM1001 Basic Design I course.

The first time I met IKU was 12 years ago. I joined the Culture Family as a student.  In 2007, I received a full scholarship from the Department of Communication Design (Multimedia) of the Faculty of Art and Design. Then, I completed my Double Major and undergraduate education at the Department of Communication Arts. During my undergraduate education, I have stayed in the dormitory of Istanbul Kültür University and accumulated great memories and friendships.

After completing my master's degree in Communication Arts Department, I continued my PhD studies. During my graduate education, I took part in many studies. I was involved in many stages of the project by dealing with the social media leg of IKU Doğru Tercih. I have developed various projects on Kanal 56 that my father is the chairman of the Board of Directors.

IKU provide me a stance, educated me, shared my sorrow and joy. It added  Ahmet Gökhan Uluçay, my traveling companion, to my life. It gave the chance to meet many valuable ‘people and accumulate memories.

During my 12 years of Kültürl life, I have had many experiences and accumulated memories. The first thing that came to mind was the audit process we had while working at the General Secretariat. It was a special experience for me to prepare the reports until late at night.

The project that excited me the most in my education life, after eight months of intensive work, was the realization of my photography exhibition titled “İstanbul Halleri” at which different human typologies from various districts of Istanbul included.

Istanbul Kultur University is  my second family that I feel support at every stage of my life…
