From Director

            Dear Students!

İKÜTÜMER is one of the most prominent institutions in Turkish language teaching, using the latest technologies and modern teaching techniques.

İKÜTÜMER’s teaching staff consists of the graduates of Turkish Language and Literature, Philology, and Language Teaching departments. The instructors are experts who have an academic background at Istanbul Kültür University or other universities.

İKÜTÜMER has courses for A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 levels. After completing an 8-month Turkish course at our center, either in the preparatory class or during our fall and spring term classes, you’ll receive a certificate which will allow you to receive education at our university or other institutions.

There’s a Turkish proverb that goes: “One language, one person; two languages, two people.” Therefore, you could strengthen your position in society if you learn more languages. The best way to learn a language is to live in the country where that language is spoken, from an expert who speaks it as their native tongue.

Four basic language skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) are considered equally important at İKÜTÜMER Turkish language courses. The classes are supported with a projector and high-speed internet in every classroom. Turkish language teaching is carried out in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

İKÜTÜMER’s Turkish courses take place on the university campus. Thanks to this, our students also have the opportunity to learn about Turkish culture and practice their Turkish language skills with their local friends. In addition to that, apart from the social and scientific activities that are carried out by our university, İKÜTÜMER and the International Student Unit organizes many social events and excursions. Our students may attend these events and visit the historical and touristic places of Istanbul and Turkey.

Remember: “You learn a language through immersion.”

Kind Regards,

Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Daşman
