The classes that are planned to be opened during Summer School by all programs and departments of the university will be online on ÖBYS (Student Information Management System) before June 2, 2017, 6.00 PM. For a planned summer school course to be opened, a minimum of 5 students need to be registered in that course. However, for the students who are taking a course from the seventh or eighth semester of their undergraduate program; or third or fourth semester of their associate’s degree program, this condition is not required.

For each program and department of the university, the courses that will be opened, the number of students, and the instructors are announced until June 12, 2017 6.00 PM.

Regarding the opened courses, course add/drop process is carried out on June 16 (system becomes active at 0.01 AM and closes down at 11.59 PM). The results are reported to Faculty/Vocational School/Department Summer School Coordination Office.

If a student decides for any reason not to attend the course which will be opened during Summer School before June 16, 2017, the education fee which was paid by the student will be reimbursed to the student with a deduction of a one-hour fee for each dropped class. After June 16, 2017, an opened course cannot be dropped and there won’t be a reimbursement. If a class can’t be opened because the required conditions are not met, the fee will be reimbursed in full. The reimbursements will be carried out by the Directorate of Financial Affairs after July 24, 2017.

After June 17, 2017, if a student of preparatory class decides to deregister from Summer School, the summer school fee will be reimbursed to the student with a 20% deduction.

After June 16, 2017, students may enroll into the opened courses with the approval of Faculty/Vocational School/Department Coordinator and the advisor. Directorate of Student Affairs will be responsible for the registration of the students outside of İKÜ.

Course Sharing: This is the case when an instructor is coordinating the class along with another instructor during the summer school. The Faculty/Vocational School/Department Coordinator will be notified about course sharing information until the end of the business hours on August 16, 2017.

The classes that have its program announced and will be opened for certain should be instructed by the announced instructor, at the exact announced time and place to the Faculty/Vocational School/Department Coordinator. An instructor can only teach conflicting classes when they’re sharing the class with another instructor.
