Prof.Dr. İlhan ULUSAN was born in 1946, in Istanbul. He graduated from Alman Lisesi (German School of Istanbul) in 1965, and from the Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1969. Becoming the Civil Law Assistant at Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1969, Prof.Dr. ULUSAN held the Doctor of Law degree in 1976, the Associate Professor degree in 1982 and Professor degree in Department of Civil Law in 1988. He was conducted education and training activities at the University of Bonn Faculty of Law in Germany during the years 1973 – 1974, and at the University of Vienna Faculty of Law in Austria during the years 1979 – 1980. He gave Civil Law lectures at Marmara University Department of Law and Dicle University Department of Law, since their establishment. Having retired from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2000, Prof.Dr. ULUSAN started to work as academic member in Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Law within the same year. He worked as the President of the Türk Ekonomik Hukuk Araştırmaları Vakfı (Turkish Economic Legal Researches Foundation), as Member of the Comparative Law Research and Practice Center at Istanbul University Faculty of Law. Until the retirement, he held the posts of Academic Membership at Istanbul University Department of Civil Law and Membership in the Faculty Board for a long time. He conducted the tasks of Board Membership and Senatorship of the Faculty and University at the Istanbul Kültür University where he worked after his retirement. Moreover, Prof.Dr. ULUSAN is a member of the “International Academy of Comparative Law”, “Türk Alman Hukukçular Derneği (Turkish German Lawyers Association”) and holds the title of registered lawyer in Istanbul Bar Association Prof.Dr. ULUSAN has many pieces written and published in Turkish and German. Most of these pieces were used as reference. A German and English speaker, Prof.Dr. İlhan ULUSAN is married and father of two.
