ECTS Credits Allocation

By the 2011-2012 Academic year ECTS credits are used in all of the programs at the Istanbul Kültür University. Within this context, ECTS credits of all the courses at the university are stated by taking the ‘work load’ of the students into consideration. In Programs prepared with 30 ECTS for semester and 60 ECTS for the whole year; credits are given by taking the theory course hours, laboratory studies, project preparation, practices, clinic studies in internships, seminars, problem hours, individual work, exams and other evaluation activities into consideration.

Before the ECTS Credits are determined, the common field courses at the faculties were determined, and after that, ECTS credits for the single courses of every department were determined via the department academic staff and at the last step their results were cross checked with those of the student surveys applied for each course at the University.
