Akıngüç Auditorium came into service during the first decennial celebrations of Istanbul Kültür University with a grand opening ceremony and concerts given by Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra and piano virtuoso Fazıl Say through 16th-18th October 2007, which marks the importance our university places on culture and art. The multipurpose auditorium has 750 seats, 182 m2 of backstage area and 120 m2 of total stage area. It is also equipped with many visual, audio, special effects and simultaneous translation systems for conventions, conferences, movies, theatrical performances, concerts, etc.
Akıngüç Auditorium has three functional goals: to host national and international conferences, to aid the university students and every student of ‘Kültür Education Family’ through the path of art and culture, and, lastly, to meet the concert and performance needs of densely populated districts such as Bakırköy, Yeşilköy and Ataköy.

You can find details of activities at Istanbul Kültür University and Akıngüç Auditorium here.
The concert by Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Bolshoi Soloists Ballet Show and CSO Baroque Soloists & ‘Baroque Loves’ featuring Erden Bilgen, and the more thematic concerts such as ‘From Mozart to Madonna’, which was presented by Cihat Aşkın Ensemble, have happily drawn much attention since its opening.
Our target is to make Akıngüç Auditorium a prestigious Concert & Performance center in the neighborhood by scheduling concerts and shows of high artistic value at every concert season. The fact that the auditorium has already become a center of attraction for classical music artists who wish to take part in our programs makes us as happy as the audience.
